So – big question for you. Which city has done more to advance maritime engineering and technology, Newcastle or Liverpool? Tough one eh? Well if you’d like to hear more of the glories of the north east, and the Tyne in particular, we have an excellent event for you to attend.
We have been approached by the group Maritime History North, as they are hosting a seminar which is set to explore engineering developments in shipping, and the broad ambit of Tyneside’s engineering development and prowess.
The event showcases the depth and breadth of the area’s innovation and highlights the region’s unique endeavours and achievements in science and technology which have revolutionised our world…and our industry.
With a programme of distinguished speakers and it is being held on 4th November in The Turbinia Room of The Discovery Museum in Blandford Square, Newcastle upon Tyne.
