Next Propeller Club Lunch 2021

Friday, 16th April

Our annual lunch will come round once more, we just don’t exactly know when yet, but let’s pencil April 2021 in.  Rest assured we will be very much looking forward to seeing you all again.

The plan will still be to welcome Britannia Maritime Aid, so we can hear their plans to provide global aid from a British-built merchant ship, manned by UK and Commonwealth seafarers.

The vessel will have the dual purpose of operating as a disaster relief platform and a sea training vessel for cadets, midshipmen, apprentices and trainees (both seafaring and non seafaring). It will provide an effective and regular means of directly delivering UK overseas humanitarian aid and skills training on a year round basis to UK overseas territories communities in need, and when required to provide direct, fast and cost effective emergency response to disaster hit islands and coastal commonwealth countries.

The senior project team includes highly experienced and qualified maritime experts. Influential figures from the maritime world, politics, business and society have also backed the cause.

Chairman of Britannia Maritime Aid, Captain Kevin Slade will be speaking and telling us more about their plans, how the fundraising is progressing, and will also hopefully have some important news on the views of the British Government towards this wonderfully ambitious, but fantastic and worthy project.

You can find out more at http://britanniamaritimeaid.com/

The lunch will also be a chance to visit and dine at the world famous Athenaeum in Liverpool – so don’t miss out. Bookings will be taken soon, and we will send links to our members and supporters. It is sure to be a fascinating event, and we look forward to seeing you just as soon as we can. At the moment we are pencilling in October – but let’s see…

The lunch drinks reception is very kindly sponsored by Sharples Group, the company which helps you do business more effectively and reduces costs by providing the latest print management solutions that align with your business needs.
