Lunchy McLunchface…meet the RRS Sir David Attenborough Master

Friday, 5th April

Propeller Club Liverpool lunches have grown a reputation for delivering fascinating speakers, and this time around is no different.

We are thrilled to have Captain Simon Mills – the delivery Master of RRS Sir David Attenborough coming to speak on the conception, building, launch and ultimately the delivery of this amazing new vessel. SO BOOK YOUR TICKET NOW

From the Boaty McBoatface furore through to delivering one of the most technologically advanced ships the Mersey has ever seen, Captain Mills will tell us all about the sea trials and tribulations of translating the hopes, dreams and desires of our polar ambitions into red steel and thousands of kilometres of cable.

The lunch also sees the passing of the baton, as our President Steven Jones ends his two years at the helm – handing over to Adam Whittle of Brookes Bell. This is an event not to be missed, and we really hope you will join us.

As is customary at Propeller Club Liverpool, lunch moves gently into post-event drinks; this time kindly sponsored by printing and document management experts, Sharples Group https://sharplesgroup.com/

If you are not a member of the Propeller Club and would like to attend, or find out more – email propellerclubliverpool@gmail.com

Thank you to Al Disley for his amazing images of the RRS Sir David Attenborough.
